PAC-UK is the largest independent adoption support agency in the country. PAC-UK offers specialist advice, support, counselling and training for all affected by adoption and permanency and helps to guide the 5,000 adoptions of children that take place in Britain every year.
PAC-UK exists to improve the lives of families and individuals affected by adoption and other forms of permanence by providing access to a range of individually tailored services and appropriate support depending on need. In addition we aim to increase the awareness and knowledge of professionals and the general public. Our vision is that all people affected by adoption and other forms of permanence are supported and enabled to live their lives to the full.
To help us achieve our vision PAC-UK is seeking to appoint new Trustees to strengthen and enhance the expertise of its Board, to ensure good governance in meeting our legal and financial obligations, and to work with the CEO and Leadership team in delivering our strategy and development.
Applications are welcomed from individuals from all backgrounds who can make a strong commitment to PAC-UK, devote the necessary time to the role and display strategic vision, independent judgement and think creatively. We are particularly looking for people with a professional background in adoption including academics and/or people who have held a senior position within a Local Authority.
Meetings are held up to six times each year, in both London and Leeds.
This is an unpaid role, but all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
