Team Manager – Leading Homelessness Charity

£34,000 per annum

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week – some weekend and evenings as required.

Croydon, South London

About the Organisation:

TPP’s client is a leading homelessness charity in London who provide supported housing for homeless customers with complex needs. They provide solutions to homelessness through shelter, support and advice to over 1500 each year across four London boroughs.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has opened up to manage a large rough sleeper project for homeless and vulnerable people in Croydon.

The Project is an essential part of the borough’s housing offer for homeless and vulnerable people and you will be the face of the project working alongside partners to ensure you need the needs of the customers.

The Project forms part of the Adults patch and you will be working alongside the Area Manager and your peers across the charity within eight London boroughs to achieve the highest possible outcomes for those they work with, both customers and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working within a fast-paced hostel environment and can manage the many challenges this will present. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a natural ability to motivate and develop a team of staff to deliver an exceptional service. You will be results-orientated, managing all aspects of service delivery and will work alongside the customers, who have very real and complex needs, to identify their strengths and skills so they can achieve their goals and aspirations. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues facing people with complex needs and will have previous management experience.

Currently within the charity, they have some exciting programmes underway, which you as the Team Manager will be an essential part of. Primarily, this includes the roll out of the new asset based Support Model, which was co-produced and developed in collaboration by the customers and staff together.
