TPP's client, a leading national children's charity is seeking an experienced and vibrant Team Manager to job share at their young carers? service in the Redbridge area.
Our client provides a range of services for children, young people and their families nationwide, they believe in respecting the worth of every person and encourage people to fulfil their potential.
The service which is currently recruiting is one of our clients Young Carers support service, running across Redbridge and Havering they work to identify interventions in order to support young carers to achieve their personal goals, gain support with their responsibilities and develop relationships with their peers. The service runs 3 main interventions, these being; short term work and referral to external agencies, ongoing activities including mentoring and peer groups and intensive family work.
The Team Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of both the Havering and Redbridge services; leading and managing the staff to work within the charities? policies and procedures but encouraging them to be creative when engaging with the young carers in order to empower them. The Team Manager is also responsible for taking a lead on Safeguarding for the service.
The main areas of responsibility in this job will be to develop and maintain key working relationships internally and externally, Staff management and leadership, Staff development, quality assurance and monitoring.
The working environment is fun, vibrant and professional with plenty of day to day interaction with staff from other services as well as your own. There is a private office for the Team Manager (shared with the person who is job sharing with) and the Children?s Services? manager, who this role will report to is based onsite too.
This job share will involve and require both parties to work in unison and share the same goal and vision for the service. It is required that the individual successful for this job have experience of working in or managing a young carers service or family service and have at least 2 years? experience supervising staff and ideally be a Qualified Social Worker, based on the requirement that this post will be lead on Safeguarding. Our client will consider a candidate from a mental health or drugs and alcohol background as long as they can evidence that they meant the job requirements. It is essential that the candidate have the QCF level in leadership and management or equivalent.
