Counselling and Wellbeing Manager
£35,959 - £39,729 per annum
TPP's client, a bespoke Mental Health charity is seeking a Service Manager to join and manage and develop their talking therapies service in Central and South West London.
Our client offers therapeutic counselling and support services to adults with mental health issues across two main boroughs in London. They offer varied services in order to empower their clients to access additional services, be active in their community and live a full life.
The Counselling and Wellbeing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the counselling services offered to clients, which are delivered on and off sight; including GP practices by qualified counsellors. They offer a generic counselling service as well as a mother tongue service; currently these include Farsi and Arabic. This service is currently operating in West London along with a specialist community navigator service, which is responsible for signposting clients to enable them to access the right support and counselling service. The counselling service offered by our client is in line with the new NHS IAPT model and moving away from the standard psychodynamic approach.
This job offers the chance to develop a new project in South West London. At present their South West London services do not offer counselling; the successful candidate to this post will work closely with other professionals to create and implement a similar service as their Central London service.
The successful candidate will have 5 direct reports; 3 community navigators, 1 clinical lead and 1 administrator. The candidate will have a high level of autonomy across the service as well as the opportunity to be involved with the charity as a whole.
To be considered for this role you will need to be qualified in a relevant field to degree level or equivalent. Hold an appropriate vocational qualification in health and social care and be able to produce evidence of a relevant CPD profile.
You will need to have experience of leading people and teams to operational and financial targets, meeting contractual requirements in a health and social care setting and have experience of growing, improving, remodelling and developing health and social care services.
The above criteria will be explored during the initial assessment with the owning consultant at TPP.
Benefits include 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension and flexible working.
To apply please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org quoting reference number J51280.
Closing date: 224th April 2015 (allow time to complete an application form)
Interviews: 12th May 2015
