Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic fundraising Events Officer looking for your next challenge? This exciting role is responsible for recruiting supporters to fundraise across a variety of UK sporting events such as the London Marathon, Ride London and the Great North Run. You will support the existing fundraisers through their supporter journeys and create strong partnerships with third party events providers. This is a challenging role within a motivated and fun team with lots to achieve!

Responsibilities include

•           Developing and managing a portfolio of events, focusing on supporter care processes and the retention of supporters

•           Planning and delivering successful events through strong relationship management of volunteers, suppliers and logistics companies

•           Providing excellent customer service to existing fundraising supporters, acknowledging support and increasing long-term loyalty

•           Account management of event suppliers, liaising with venues and contractors regarding event requirements to ensure a successful event

•           Working with supporters across digital channels including building and managing online social groups

•           Work in collaboration with the Communications team to ensure that a promotion programme is in place for planned activities

You will have a good knowledge of the events fundraising market, ideally in sporting events. A born organiser, you will have demonstrable experience of managing a busy and varied workload and excellent relationship management skills are also key. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with digital technologies and online communities. A full, clean driving license with access to your own car is also a requirement for this role.
