TPP's client a Mental Health charity is seeking a Social Inclusion Project Worker to join their active team in Wandsworth.
Our client is a highly reputable Mental Health charity who promotes and campaigns for the right of people with mental health issues. They are located across the UK and provide a variety of services.
The Wandsworth service provides advice and guidance to adults with mental health issues are seeking support in their recovery. The role of the Social Inclusion Project Worker will be to provide flexible and responsive support based on the needs and aspirations of service users that promote social inclusion and recovery. This will entail partnership working with service users to identify goals and how to achieve them. The role will include work with service users to facilitate access to appropriate services to progress their growth and recovery and initiate, develop, execute and supervise activities. An aspect of volunteer recruitment will be required also and reflect practice is encouraged, therefor the project worker will be required to meet with the service user and review and reflect on their recovery journey.
The role is Monday to Friday but does require some flexibility as required by the service.
The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mental Health, social care, volunteering or a related field, have experience of working within a mental health setting and have experience if providing advice, guidance and training to others. As the role in based within a resource centre the successful candidate with have experience of networking and liaising with referrers and community based organisations.
The above criteria will be explored during the initial assessment with the owning consultant at TPP.
