TPP's client a community building organisation specialising in the integration and transformation of the local community is currently recruiting for a Social Care Manager. Based in the heart of East London, our client has formed an integral part of the local community taking pride in working in one of the most culturally diverse boroughs in the UK.
Focusing on the most vulnerable people in the community, our client demonstrates incredible passion for the care and support sector by providing individually tailored support to adults with health and social care needs, whist promoting and maximising on choice, independence, and empowerment.
As the Social Care Manager, you will be managing a team of six and will play a principal role in the effective delivery of the care and support services across the social care programme and be responsible for providing the overall strategic management, growth, and bring improvement to a range of care and support services.
Overseeing the operational management of the programme on a daily basis, you will share the same commitment as my client to providing an effective, efficient and high quality service which meets the changing needs of both vulnerable service users and the organisation.
A fundamental element of this role requires someone able to make strong financial intellectual decisions and has experience of exercising effective control over budgets, quality and performance in the services; whilst identifying, developing and implementing new business opportunities across the services and organisation.
Another key aspect of the Social Care Manager post will be managing external relationships. The successful post holder needs to be able to work strategically with local authorities, commissioners, GPs, external agencies and stakeholders, and other relevant social care professionals. You have to be a quick thinker and have the ability to negotiate and problem solve.
This position will suit someone who understands the value of cultural diversity and recognises it as a driving force of development. You will have extensive knowledge, working experience of supporting, and managing vulnerable adults with physical, mental, sensory, and learning and complex disabilities, whilst understanding their specialist needs and requirements.
