Senior Residential Project Worker

TPP's client, a national children's charity are looking to recruit a Senior Project Worker for one of their Services in East London.
Our client is a well-established charity who has been operational for over 100 years. They are dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable and hard to reach children and young people.
The service itself is a short breaks respite service for children and young people with learning disabilities and/ or challenging behaviour.
The role of the Senior Residential Project Worker is to assist the Team Manager; in achieving the aims of the Service within the policy of the organisation, providing the highest possible standards of care, guidance, support and protection for young people and to co-operate with and lead colleagues in achieving these objectives and to support the Team Manager in effectively leading the practice of the residential team.
The Senior Residential Project Worker will be responsible for ensuring residential project workers and relief workers are supervised, their learning and development needs are identified and to lead on shifts.
To be considered for this role you will need to hold a NVQ level 3 in caring for Children and Young People or equivalent. Experience of working with children and young people within a residential or respite environment and have worked as a shift leader. It is also essential that you have worked with children, young people and families from a different social and cultural background.
