Senior Residential Childcare Worker
£19,500 to £23,000 plus Benefits
One of TPP's clients; a reputable children's charity is looking for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join their expanding team.
The position is to support Registered Managers in residential homes to ensure improved outcomes for every child and young person whilst providing the highest quality of care and support.
The successful candidate will undertake planned and agreed pieces of work such as supporting children through the process of a fostering placement. Another aspect of the role includes contributing to placement planning, reviews and care plans. When necessary, the candidate will be expected to deputise for the Residential Registered Manager in their absence. It's essential within this position to provide an open and supportive environment for children and young people that respects racial, cultural and religious diversity.
Experience of supporting children and young people through experiences of loss or trauma whilst thoughtfully handling challenging behaviours/emotional difficulties is necessary for this position. Also, substantial care planning experience and joint working is required. You would need to possess the ability to adapt to a range of behaviours and a change of work patterns where necessary.
The successful candidate will have experience in writing reports and various other paperwork. Capability of maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude at all times is an extremely vital aspect within the role.
Relevant qualifications in Social Work or equivalent will be necessary to be considered for this position.
