The Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer be responsible for keeping the charity's agenda high on the political agenda. You will be expected to have significant input into the planning process for the Campaigns and Policy Team, including contributing creative ideas for new work.
You will be responsible for driving forward a high profile campaign for the Campaigns and Policy Team over the coming months, leading on the development of new policy solutions to tackle challenges facing services for premature and sick babies, and communicating these effectively and persuasively to policy makers.
The appointed candidate will have:
• Significant experience in a dynamic policy or public affairs role in the voluntary or public sector
• Demonstrable political insight and ability to make sound judgements involving complex information requiring analysis and interpretation
• Thorough understanding of political parties and the parliamentary processes in Westminster and the devolved nations
• Understanding of and interest in issues surrounding the delivery of health services
