My client, a leading conservation charity, is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to come on board and manage their organisational fundraising strategy. This charity is a very exciting organisation for which to work with massive international reach and a sizeable database of over 10,000 active supporters.
You'll be responsible for developing the income for the charity through direct mail appeals, digital marketing, regular giving, legacies and memberships, as well as working with wider teams and colleagues to maximise the potential of other income streams, including events, corporate and grant funding.
*To develop the organisation's annual appeals strategy, monitoring annual income and expenditure budgets against key appeal targets
*Managing the design and implementation of annual direct mail campaigns, acquisition campaigns, newsletter mailings and other communications
*To be a champion of Raiser's Edge across the organisation, able to not just keep it up to date but also effective and useful for internal fundraising stakeholders
*To manage suppliers and sub-contractors, guaranteeing that the charity receives the best possible service at the best possible price
*Work with colleagues to maximise the potential of online/digital marketing channels, incl. the charity's website, social media and e-newsletters
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Substantial experience of managing direct marketing programmes from start to finish
*Experience of using a fundraising database for direct marketing processes, ideally Raiser's Edge, providing sound analysis of results
*Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, able to write to and speak with a range of stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority
*Experience in fundraising strategy, budgeting and forecasting
*The ability to be an exceptional ambassador for the organisation, confident and capable of representing the charity to a wide range of audiences
This is an exciting role and the charity is looking for an enthusiastic and resilient team player with good business development experience and an excellent knowledge of the public sector. Outstanding relationship building, communication and organisational skills are essential as is taking a solutions focussed approach to tasks.
