We are working with a unique International Development Charity in heart of Shrewsbury. The charity has a remarkable new strategy which is taking them to an exciting new direction. They create opportunities for young people and their communities in Zambia through skills training, work experience and essential community building projects. With this role, you will be given the opportunity to experience firsthand the astonishing work that they do in Zambia, allowing you to create a stronger support journey and create compelling presentations and stories.
Everyone who works at the Charity has their own story, here is what their CEO has to say.
“My commitment and passion for the Charity’s work hasn’t diminished since I was involved in launching the initiative almost 10 years ago. What drives me is the satisfaction that our approach works for real people. I have met so many young Zambians whose outlook on life has changed completely now that they have practical skills and are earning money. Our track record and credibility has earned us the right to be ambitious and this is reflected in our new strategy. It’s not easy but it’s hugely rewarding”
With this role, you will be joining a growing team, with new fundraising strategies and exciting new projects in the pipeline. You will be responsible for developing and diversifying the trust, grants and foundation’s income stream. Your organized approach will allow you to not only look after loyal supporters of the charity but will allow you to research and approach potential new opportunities. You will have an eye for detail and will be able to ensure that all funding bids are written to a high standard and that they are within the set guidelines.
This role will offer some flexible working with a mix of office and home-based.
