TPP's client a leading health & social care charity is currently looking to recruit for a Safeguarding Manager to be based at either of their regional offices; London, Surrey, Essex, Cheshire, West Midlands or County Durham.
The successful candidate will be the lead manager in the organisation with accountability for ensuring that they have the policies and processes and capacity in place to deliver their safeguarding commitments, to children and vulnerable adults in their work both amongst staff and volunteers. The role will entail creating and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures. The implementation of these will be through training days that the successful candidate will deliver across the organisation.
The key responsibilities of the Safeguarding Manager will be to be the lead expert on safeguarding and manage all cases, develop and implement the safeguarding review, develop a team of safeguarding leads regionally, initiate and develop safeguarding practices for vulnerable adults and manage criminal records checks.
This is a vital role for our client and they are seeking a processed, organised and outcome driven individual. To be considered for the role of Safeguarding Manager you will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent, have proven experience of improving safeguarding within an organisation, be experienced in leading safeguarding cases and have relevant safeguarding experience as it applied to vulnerable adults and children.
You will need to be available to work flexibly, some evenings and weekends where required. If the successful applicant is not London based, there will be an expectation that the candidate may be required to travel to the charities head office in London when required.
