TPP's client, one of the UK's leading pioneering charities in services for physically disabled children are seeking a Residential, Safeguarding and Care Manager.
Our client has a vision that all disabled children live a full, fun life filled with friendships and hope for an independent future. They are launching an ambitious programme offering more than 10,000 opportunities for young disabled people to gain the skills they need for a better future. The Residential, Safeguarding and Care Manager position is a vital role to support the delivery of the programme.
Our client believes that every disabled young person has the right to a fun and active childhood. Their mission is to transform their lives by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need in order to achieve this. This is achieved through providing 13 different services throughout the UK ranging from; campaigns, wheelchair skills training to residential camps.
The Residential, Safeguarding and Care Manager Post will be responsible for the later; Short Breaks residential camps. This service offers disabled young people a chance to learn key skills such as; assertiveness, budgeting, shopping, cooking etc. along with fun social activities like drama, sports and meeting inspirational role models.
The role of the Residential, Safeguarding and Care manager will be to develop this service further, oversee and manage these residential opportunities and ensure high standards and best practices are set and being followed. This post will also be responsible for ensuring that safeguarding policies and procedures are in place and underpin the services.
To be considered for this role you will need to be experienced in managing care services for disabled people and deal with safeguarding concerns. You will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced and complex environment. An ability to resolve challenging situations and have a passion and ability to develop and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities for disabled young people in association with professionals.
