TPP Recruitment is working with a national advocacy charity which is looking for a Regional Development Manager. The post-holder of this position will play a vital role in the successful growth of the charity, raising the necessary funds to ensure that the organisation can reach and represent more disadvantaged people across the UK who need a voice to champion their rights in order to change and better their lives.
The Regional Development Manager will be accountable for meeting regional growth targets by first researching and then applying to trusts, foundations and local authorities for grants and tenders on behalf of the charity. The ideal candidate will have a very broad knowledge of how to generate income from trusts and statutory funding sources, as well as an appreciation of the nuances of the social care sector or be willing to learn about this very quickly. You'll also need to be target-driven, but also able to work collaboratively across various teams and departments who aren't familiar with trusts and statutory fundraising in order to secure their buy in with your tenders and applications.
Key responsibilities include:
*Researching and preparing fundraising tenders and applications in order to meet KPIs and income targets and maintaining professional communication with funders throughout grant cycles, including reporting back on the success of grants and tenders where necessary
*Building strong working relationships with stakeholders and teams across the charity in order to streamline the bid-writing process
*Taking ownership of regional tender and grant opportunities and ensuring that all submissions are cost-effective and worthwhile
*Working closely with the charity's regional teams in order to identify any unmet needs among our service users and develop new ideas and projects for which funding can be sough
The ideal candidate will have:
*A successful track record of generating income from competitive tendering processes and/or applying to trusts and foundations
*Strong collaboration, co-production and project management skills
*Knowledge of the principles and techniques which underpin successful grant and statutory fundraising processes
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Enthusiasm and the ability to engage and influence various types of internal and external stakeholders
