A leading health charity is seeking an experienced Prospect Researcher for 2 months on a temporary basis starting asap £13.846ph.
The post holder will ensure the charity are researching and prioritising key individuals and where needed researching the potential for adding additional fundraising and cultivation opportunities to the Major Gifts and Special Events calendar in the future, as well as maximizing cross-selling opportunities with the fundraising department.
This is a prospect research role with a specific focus on major gifts and special events, sitting within the fundraising team.
1.Strategically segmenting donors through running queries to enable targeted fundraising asks to the right donors at the right time.
2.Work across fundraising to ensure access to prospects when needed for event invites and mailings and that there is also a steady flow of prospects and donors out of the MGGE team.
3.Using a range of sources, complete detailed research on current and prospective high value donors to allow for more efficient account management and cultivation.
4.Ensure best use of the Raiser's Edge database, keeping records updated with generic contact, current research and prospect ratings.
5.Undertake daily media scanning for information on our existing and prospective donors, as well as fundraising trends.
6.Take the lead in producing the Friends Newsletter.
*Experience of prospect research ideally in a major gift setting
*Proven experience of, and in-depth knowledge, of Raiser's Edge or a similar database
*Good analytical skills; able to identify key points from complex materials and sources and condense information into audience friendly documents
*Ability to think creatively to source information and identify cross team opportunities
