TPP's client, a pioneering learning disabilities charity in London is seeking a Play and Youth Team Manager to join their exciting Play and Youth services.
Our client has been established for over 50 years and provides quality services to people with learning disabilities of all ages. They have a strong set of values that runs right through the charity and is mirrored in the staff they employ into their organisation.
The Play and Youth Team Manager role will be responsible for delivering after school, evening, weekend and holiday play and youth activities for children and young people with disabilities; including those with complex learning, communication and physical disabilities (aged 5 to 19 years).
This Team Manager job will report into the Play and Youth Services Manager; The main areas of responsibility will be to develop, deliver and manage high quality play and youth activities for children and young people with special educational needs; including severe and complex disabilities and communication difficulties such as autism. Work in partnership with other providers and in a range of different local and community settings in order to provide effective leadership, management and supervision of a diverse team of play and youth workers; providing supervision and support to the sessional teams in their delivery of structured activities
To be considered for this role you will need to have a recognized professional play or youth qualification to NVQ Level 3 along with experience of supporting children and young people with disabilities including those with complex learning, communication and physical disabilities. Also you will need to have experience of leading a team in delivering structured p lay and youth sessions.
You will need to be available to start in July for the temporary post and have a DBS registered on the update service.
