TPP's client a leading national charity for people with dementia is currently recruiting for a Peer Support Facilitator across different rented venues in central Bedfordshire.
The successful postholder must be confident in their ability to engage and facilitate within group settings anything from art to games. You will play a principal role in facilitating group sessions and activities for on average 8-9 service users mirrored by number of carers. You might not have significant experience of working in the Dementia sector, but you will have fantastic creativity and strong interpersonal skills.
You will be required to commit to 2-3 sessions where you will be focused on engaging with people with Dementia and their carers, as well as supporting any of the volunteers present.
You must be computer literate, highly organised and be able to meet tight deadlines. You must meet the specifications and boundaries needed for this role, but you will be given autonomy to develop the role further.
