A prestigious and niche Arts Charity based in East / central London is seeking a permanent, part-time Finance Manager for a new hire. The role will be for 3 days per week.
As Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include cash flow and investments, managing accounts receivable, nominal ledger and reports. You will be the main point of contact in the Finance department for all accounts related matters for the charity and its subsidiary and work in conjunction with the Financial Controller and the Distribution and Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Finance department.
You will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience and be able to demonstrate relevant accounting experience. You will be able to evidence experience in credit control, balance sheet and bank reconciliations as well as experience of accounting for foreign currency transactions. You must have excellent communication and organisation skills.
The role will also involve the preparation of papers for external bodies as necessary including: Auditors, taxation authorities for quarterly VAT and PAYE Settlement Agreement and compliance.
Experience with IRIS / Exchequer accounting package would be beneficial
A background of managing financial accounts in the charity or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage.
