About the charity
Our client, an established charity since 1970’s support people with care needs and their carers in their home or on outside activities. They provide a diverse range of services for children, young people, adults and older adults across South East London.
A small charity, with a big heart; our client aims to offer quality services and individual support to each of the people they support. They provide over 6500 support hours per week to their customers and are always finding innovative ways to extend their services.
Some of the services they offer are; Prevention and early intervention services for carers, volunteer befriending, supported living, community engagement and support plus many more.
About the role
The Operations Manager/ Head of Operations is a new post for the charity, you will be responsible for the overall service delivery and operational overview including Quality Assurance of the services. With 3 direct line reports, you will support them to manage and develop their teams whilst having a direct link with the community care staff.
You will report directly into the CEO and report your initial findings of areas you feel need improving across the services and present your recommendations. With his support, you will work in collaboration with internal and external partners to achieve a continued and consistent best practice approach and culture. You will be required to deliver a vision to the staff that will evoke passion, motivation and a desire to achieve.
The Operations Manager/ Head of Operations job will also offer you the opportunity to develop your business development skills as together with the CEO you will look to support the growth of certain geographical areas.
In order for you to be considered for this job you will need to demonstrate an aptitude for leadership and empowering people. A strong background in Health and Social Care sector is required and you will need to be a Registered Manager with CQC (or have held a registered managers position in recent roles) and hold the necessary qualification relevant to the sector too.
You will give clear examples of how you have worked in partnership internally and externally, where you have made key informed decisions on operational issues and you will be required to explain how and when you have conducted Quality Assurance reviews and determined procedures and quality standards.
