This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is looking for something different and a great opportunity to get out of the office three days a week.
This conservation and heritage charity are looking for someone to divide their week between desk and field based duties. You will patrol London’s often forgotten network of canal towpaths where you will provide an excellent level of client engagement with various boating communities.
Working hours: 37 hours including Saturday 9.00am - 5.30pm
Duties and responsibilities:
Mixture of office based support and on-site patrol work
Support the Trust in managing mooring issues, complaints, and liaison with customers/users on the towpath.
Spend approximately 3 days out and up to 2 days in the office (although this is flexible).
On-site work will include visiting each of the sites once a week (depending on number of permit holders on site); and general towpath patrols along our waterways.
Designated winter mooring sites are located in the western and eastern peripheries of our region: Slough, Cowley/Uxbridge, West Drayton, Hayes, Brentford, Southall, Alperton, Greenford, Kensal Green, Enfield, Waltham Cross, Rye House, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Dobbs Weir, Stanstead Abbotts and Ware.
Patrols are likely to be focussed on the Grand Union (southern section/Slough Arm/Paddington Arm, upper River Lee Navigation and River Stort, with weekly cover on the Regent’s Canal.

Location: Main office location will be Little Venice (Paddington/Warwick Ave. tube), with regular visits to other offices in Docklands (Canary Wharf/South Quay), Enfield and Brentford. Occasional visits to other offices, e.g. Milton Keynes or Leeds, may also be required for training or other management meetings.
