|Job Title||Meet and Greet Volunteers - EXPIRED|
|Contract Type||Temporary / Interim|
|Job Published||30 Mar 2016|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’s aims are to rescue neglected, unwanted or abused horses; but also when possible to rehabilitate, retrain and eventually rehome them into loving, knowledgeable environments. We also try to educate people on all aspects of horse welfare.
We are looking for a team of volunteers to share shifts throughout the week, especially throughout school and summer holidays. The role involves greeting people on their arrival, telling them what they need to know about the sanctuary and visitors centre e.g. the facilities available and where to find them, events and fun activities they can take part in and general information about our work as a sanctuary.
No experience is necessary but a friendly, welcoming manner is necessary. You will be representing the Mare and Foal Sanctuary so delivering a good first impression is of great importance.
At busy periods of the year we will need people 10-4, 7 days a week. We envisage this will be split between a team of volunteers with individuals covering 2 or 3 hour slots on any given day. If you would like to do one whole day a week, 3 mornings a week or just 2 hours a week, everything helps.
This role provides a good opportunity to socialise, meet new people and make new friends. Keep active, both physically and within the community. Grow confidence and skills which may improve your CV. Enjoy a sense of well-being from the act of giving. Cuddles with ponies and free hot drinks are also a bonus.
