A leading Royal College are recruiting for a Careers Manager to take responsibility for the organisation and delivery of career strategies including promoting recruitment into the profession, broadening the foundation programme and supporting the international medical graduates.
As an experienced line manager you will have responsibility of two Training and Workforce Assistants including setting objective and undertaking performance reviews.
Ideally coming from a HE or Professional Education background you will have had experience of successfully managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders as well as providing high quality, engaging, fit for purpose services for customers to work in collaboration with lead clinicians as well as the Head of Training & Workforce to organise and deliver all careers and promotional recruitment activity including attendance at regional, weekend or evening events as required.
As someone with a professional, respectful and collaborative approach you will manage and administer a minimum of four committees and working groups relating to the careers, recruitment into the profession and trainee support group (IMGs) in line with College policy (meetings are usually 3 times a year for each work stream), and monitor, facilitate and evaluate delivery of the work streams related to activities.
You will have had experience of undertaking and managing projects, undertaking research tasks and collating and presenting results in order to have an active role in the collection, validation and analysis of data relating to careers activities; including but not exclusively, analysis of the quantity and quality of placements in the profession or quantity of international medical graduates applying for UK Training programmes.
