The Fashion & Textile Children's Trust (FTCT) is a small charity with a long history of supporting families in the UK fashion and textile industry. Founded in 1853 by a group of philanthropic textile merchants, FTCT supports children of those in the trade who are coping with significant health, emotional, social or family difficulties.
About the opportunity
We will soon be launching our annual industry campaign, contacting over 150 leading UK fashion retailers to give them the opportunity to get involved with our charity, and we need an enthusiastic and energetic volunteer to assist the marketing and comms manager.
Ideally starting on Monday 11th May, we will need a committed individual to help us for at least 4 weeks. Based in the FTCT office in Bermondsey, activities include:
*Updating and organising our spreadsheet of industry contacts
*Preparing promotional and marketing materials
*Packaging up flyers and other promotional materials for postage
*Keeping our social media channels updated
*Copywriting and proofreading when required
*General administration tasks and any ad hoc duties as required
This is the perfect opportunity to gain experience of marketing within the charity sector, see how a major campaign is organised and executed and to play a key part in raising the profile of a wonderful charity!
You will be supported by our marketing manager who will be on hand to offer you support, guidance, information and any training necessary to your role.
This role will suit someone who is:
- Highly organized with a good attention to detail
- Has experience in marketing
- Committed to volunteering for at least 4 weeks
- Presentable with a lively and outgoing disposition
- Over 16 years of age
