Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Our client a leading international development charity are seeking an M&E specialist to start on short notice.
This post sits in the Programmes team, reporting to the Head of QAIL; you will be responsible for 2 team members, Learning Officer and M&E Data Assistant.
To implement the new organisational MEL system, developing M&E guidance and tools, provide quality assurance to new proposals, ensure quarterly business plan reporting and advice on the interim data systems for M&E and programme quality tool.
- Overall framework for strengthening monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Toolkits/ guidance for enhancing M&E within new proposals and projects
- Quality Assurance of strategic proposals
- KPI and IATI reporting
- Effective management of the E&L team
The successful candidate will have experience of:
Substantial experience of designing and implementing organisational and project monitoring and evaluation frameworks (M&E) in international development, preferably with experience of working with adolescent girls and youth in development settings.
Developing M&E systems, guidance and tools for programme and organisation-wide levels.
Adapting analytical tools to challenging contexts with limited budgets and/ or limited staff capacity to produce “good enough” monitoring and evaluation frameworks. Knowledge of institutional donor M&E requirements is desirable.
Commissioning and/ or supervising monitoring, evaluation and research work by others
