A vocational training charity delivering training in Construction and Horticulture Skills to learners aged 16 - 24 and Tri Service Leavers/Veterans based in West Sussex have an immediate need for a Learner Recruitment and Progression Consultant.
Responsible for the recruitment of learners nationally in both the NEET and Veteran sectors and managing their progression into employment:
*Managing relationships with related agencies to generate enquiries from eligible candidates.
*Attending careers events, job fairs and other events to ensure the consistent delivery of our programme information to potential candidates.
*Ensuring learner selection and enrolment is a smooth process, including organising and assisting with assessments and competency based interviews.
*Developing contacts with relevant local and national employers to generate employment opportunities for learners once they have completed their courses.
*Manage relationships employers to ensure ongoing employment opportunities for future learners as well as indirectly marketing the organisation within the industry.
*Conducting follow ups to track the progression of learners and ensure continuing success rates for Building Heroes and excellent levels of learner outcomes.
This role is being offered on a F/T, permanent basis where you will be working with ex-service personnel and young adults.
You will be working in a fast paced and demanding environment where a minimum number of assessments must be achieved in order to meet both individual and team targets. This is a field based role working within the skills centre. You will be articulate and organised with excellent multitasking/organisational abilities.
You will enjoy interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, and be able to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing. This is a challenging role and individuals will be expected to use their own initiative and be proactive, adapting to the changing needs of the business and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure target monthly learner starts are achieved.
To ensure all leads provided are followed up in line with the expected response timelines.
To ensure that suitable and eligible learners are identified through effectively carrying out thorough initial assessment.
To ensure that sufficient suitable employers are identified and engaged with to ensure adequate progression opportunities.
Help create and maintain detailed registers to manage new starts, leavers and progressions and to inform relevant agencies
Manage external events, military and NEETS recording the outcome of interest.
Working with external partners in order to provide effective Information Advice and Guidance throughout the selection process
Abide by Ofsted, QCF and company regulations at all times, ensuring that portfolios and learner files satisfy awarding body criteria.
To ensure lead generation of both learners and employers is fully developed through effective communication between managers and other colleagues.
To ensure the accurate and timely completion of all initial assessment, induction, starter and leaver documentation in line with internal systems.
Relevant business development experience.
Good networking skills.
