Job Description - EXPIRED

Would you like to help to deliver messages about the RNLI and staying safe near water to groups of eager school children in London?

Volunteering as part of the RNLI’s Education Team is an important role within the charity as we aim to save the lives of young people through our fantastic education programme. The RNLI is committed to educating children and to motivating a new generation of potential supporters and lifesavers. We are looking for a number of volunteers who are enthusiastic and have an interest in giving presentations and working with young people. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, utilise your existing skills and gain new skills and experience.

Your role would be to deliver our vital water safety messages to small groups of Year 6 children at Junior Citizen safety events organised by the RNLI and its Community Safety partners in Hillingdon. We are asking for a commitment of at least two weekdays between 29 Feb and 18 March (9am-3pm). No previous experience is required as training on water safety and the RNLI will be provided. Resources and out of pocket expenses are provided.

Our aim is to save lives with a proactive approach to water safety issues as well as raise awareness of the RNLI amongst young people within the Hillingdon area. A message given today could be a life saved tomorrow and your contribution really will make a difference in reducing the number of incidents involving children.
