A leading national youth charity are recruiting for a permanent IT Tutor Assessor for their Level3 Software, Web and Telecoms Apprenticeship.
If you have a track record in delivering good to outstanding teaching and have experience in either web development, database development, networking or IT Support and want to make a difference in young people's lives then this could be the role for you.
You will have an A1 or equivalent Assessor qualifications as well as ideally a minimum of a DTTLS (although if you don't have a teaching qualification and can demonstrate the ability and experience of delivering good to outstanding training then you will still be considered).
Based in Waterloo this is a great opportunity to be part of a fast paced, innovative apprenticeship programme. There will be around 40 school leavers who have been carefully selected as the most able and eager from hundreds of applications. As of September they will embark on a 12month programme with will include 4days a week in the workplace and 1day in training, creating strong links between the training and workplace allowing learners to apply their learning and gain valuable skills and experience which they can take back into their roles.
You will be involved in designing the curriculum, plan and delivering training. Co-designing and facilitating projects, designing, setting and marking coursework, carrying out work-based observations, and giving direct feedback based on the learner's individual needs. You will deliver 1:1 or group training for the Level 3 Diploma for Professional Competence in IT and assess it in the workplace.
As part of an ambitious team you will help to scale up the programme on a year on year basis with the aim of it becoming a national programme so there are great opportunities for future development.
