This well established NFP are recruiting an experienced IT and Database Manager to support the wider organisation from networks, IT help desk and database administration.
Main duties for the IT and Database Manager include:
Be responsible for the maintenance and integrity of IT network and infrastructure; ensuring that regular back-ups of all IT systems are performed and kept securely.
Act as IT "super-user" and network manager:
oEnsuring routine maintenance of servers, workstations, laptops, printers and all other IT-related hardware and network connections is carried out.
Data and Databases
Act as Data Protection Officer - including maintaining and monitoring policies, training staff, and maintaining records.
Acting as database administrator - including setting up new users, creating new codes and managing the coding system/data architecture.
User support and training for database users - currently PS Financials, ThankQ and Charity Financials
Support for data tasks of users. Ensuring effective use of suppression files and support for complex queries or data manipulation
CMS and other systems
Manage the integration between the databases and the website. Carry out maintenance, development and testing of the integration.
Support users with technical aspects of CMS management and bulk email systems
Ensure the website security
Project management of IT and data projects
Esential criteria for IT and Database Managaer include:
- Experience as a network administrator covering a wide range of applications involving:
Database admin / network admin / helpdesk function / MS desktop and server operating systems.
- Work with suppliers to deliver projects and services
- Work collaboratively across a small staff team
- Explain technical terms to non-technical people
- Ability to manage a heavy and diverse workload so that deadlines are met without loss of quality
- Knowledge of IT network infrastructures
- Understanding of relational database structures and effective data management
- Understanding of cloud based systems
