TPP's client, a specialist deafblind charity are seeking an interim Area manager to oversee 6 residential services across North London and Kent.
Our client has a renowned reputation for the life changing work they do for deafblind people across the UK. Offering a variety of specialist services, awareness and campaigns they are indeed a market leader in what they do.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior manager to join their team of 10 Area Managers across the UK. This post is unique as it is initially only for 6 months and although it is responsible for 6 services it also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to support on National projects. Working alongside the Head of Accommodation, there will be opportunities to support with troubled services, project development and operational and strategic change management.
The services are a combination of residential and supported living services, 2 in North London and 4 in Kent with 5 direct line reports. The services do not require any trouble shooting but there will be a need to work with the business development manage to fill a void in one of the services. There will be a need to champion personalisation to staff who have been in post for a considerable amount of time.
The ideal candidate will be extremely person centred, believe in empowering and encouraging clients to be as independent and self-efficient as possible and be a strong leader. They will also have a sound understanding of CQC regulated services and the new inspection regimes.
To be considered for this post candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to manage multi services, have a strategic and operational overview and have varied skills based around; troubleshooting, change management, maintaining services and innovation.
