A leading UK housing charity headquartered in London is seeking an interim IT Operations Manager for a 9 month contract role.

Please note candidates who are IMMEDIATELY available would be most suited.

The role involves managing and maintaining all IT services for 500 users across 60 sites in London, and will involve managing a team of 4 staff.

Duties:

-Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans

-Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, backup products, server operating systems and hardware configuration.

-Ensure the IT infrastructure and applications are maintained and available to support the business processes.

-Responsible for the overall application support of internal applications.

-Manage IT operational budgets

-Provide reports for Directorate and Trustee meetings in conjunction with the Assistant Director Corporate Services.

-Support the Assistant Director of Corporate Services in the development of the IT Service Desk and infrastrcuture across the organisation, including undertaking feasibility studies, project planning, implementation and monitoring. 

-Manage 80+ WAN connections including monitoring uptime

-Manage VMWare & Xenserver virtual server environments including SAN infrastructure

-Responsible for backup and restore of data

-Day to day management of 3rd-party suppliers who support the IT Service Desk

Requirements:

-Multi-site IT Management experience

-An understanding of the charity or housing sector

-Previous experience managing a medium sized IT function

-Experience of managing enterprise infrastructure and applications – Windows Server, VMWare, CITRIX, SQL, Active Directory

-Deep understanding of helpdesk and 1st/2nd line support issues

-Advanced server and network experience

-Strategic managerial experience and budget management
