This family support charity is looking to hire a new communications manager on a contract basis till the end of March 2017. Within this role you can look forward to working with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to implement a communications and marketing plan that is aligned with the overall strategy of the organisation. You will also take the lead on external relations and to develop an increased presence within the media. Further to this you will be responsible for press releases and copy for the website, blogs and articles, as well as the development of a diverse range of communication channels, with a focus on social media.
Reporting into the Head of Fundraising and Communications, within this role you will be line managing 3 officers, as well as managing crisis situations that may occur that could affect the reputation of the organisation or undermine the core aims and values. You will be central in the development of of key messages and themes, as well as providing media advice and provide media training to for spokespeople and members of staff. You will be the lead on developing an editoiral team for the production of newletters both online and in print format.
