Family Lives is a national charity that works for and with parents and families. We recognise and value the different types of families that exist and make innovative and accessible services available to them.
This is an exciting time to join our Human Resources team at our Hatfield office. You will have the opportunity to get involved in a number of different areas of HR which will be useful for anyone wanting to pursue a career in HR. This may include supporting the team with recruitment, requesting online and paper DBS (criminal record) checks, updating HR spreadsheets and paperwork and writing letters to staff. You will also have the opportunity to have responsibility for HR projects, such as setting up a database of recruitment questions.
We are looking for someone who has previous administrative experience. HR experience is desirable but not essential. You will be well organised with good attention to detail. Good communication, both verbal and written are essential, along with the ability to liaise with others both internally and externally. Good IT skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) are required.
This role is for 14-21 hours a week, preferred working days are 2 or 3 of the following: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. A minimum of 10 weeks' commitment is required. On your application form please specify the days and hours you are interested in working. Some flexibility re days would be ideal. Receipted travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of £15 per day and lunch expenses up to a maximum of £5 per day.
