HR Officer – 6 month fixed term contract

Our client, an Arts based organisation residing in North West London are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join their growing team. This role will be reporting into the Executive Director and the salary is £28,000 pro rata.

The main responsibility of this role is to provide support to HR, including helping with recruitment, inductions, training, development, employee relations and HR Administration. Please find further details outlined below;

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Provide support to managers dealing with employee relations issues such as performance management, capability, disciplinary, grievance and absence management
  • Issue maternity/paternity leave paperwork
  • Coordinate recruitment activities and work in partnership with relevant manager
  • Provide support on advertisements, job descriptions etc.
  • Ensure induction pack is up to date and reviewed when necessary
  • Draw up and issue new contracts or contract changes in a timely manner
  • Maintain and audit HR files, ensuring all necessary documentation are correctly completed, supplied and stored

Person specification;

  • CIPD qualified or working towards this or with equivalent experience of working as a HR practitioner
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies
  • Experience of using HR software
  • Good organisational skills to deliver on project and able to prioritise work to meet work deadlines
