Senior HR Advisor / Business Partner – 6 month fixed term contract

Our client a leading disability charity are currently looking for a Senior HR Advisor/Business Partner to join their busy team. This role is reporting to the Assistant Director of HR providing a professional and comprehensive Human Resources service.The successful Senior HR Advisor/Business Partner will be based in London 2 days, home office 1 day and 3 days covering multiple regions nationally

£35,000 pro rata

35 hours a week

Key responsibilities:

•Responsible within an identified area for engaging and influencing managers in the interpretation and implementation of Human Resources related policies, procedures and people plan in support of their operational objectives
•Coach managers on employee relations matters, ensuring best practice implementation of the organisations policy, procedures, processes and employment legislation.
•Contribute to the improvement of people management across the organisation, increasing local autonomy and decision-making within the organisations framework.
•Support managers in managing sickness absence effectively and within agreed targets, advising on policy, and making referrals to Occupational Health as required, whilst ensuring support for the well-being of affected individual employees.
•Undertake and present as required (in conjunction with the Shared Service Team) statistical analysis of Human Resources metrics, information and data including labour turnover, recruitment lead times and workforce planning to support managers in identifying and addressing performance issues
•Ensure that staffing structures are fit for purpose and manage change management programmes as required.
•Support recruitment and selection activities ensuring the effectiveness of the process and advising managers on the application of the appropriate remuneration scales ensuring adherence to policy.
•Promote and support managers in ensure effective people management, including reviewing training levels, ensuring that regular staff briefings, supervision and appraisals are completed. Liaise as required with the Learning & Development team on learning & development matters.
•Lead or undertake various Human Resources projects as identified in the Human Resources business plan ensuring that they are planned, budgeted, implemented and reviewed as directed by the Assistant Director of Human Resources and/or Director of Human Resources
•Responsible for and able to evidence one own personal development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings, conferences and events ensuring that you are updated in all matters relevant to the role as agreed in Personal Development plan

Essential criteria:
•A degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources
•Member of the CIPD
•Evidence of continued professional and personal development
•Willing to travel to the sites and willing to stay overnight
