Job Title: HR Business Partner
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata
Location: Kent
Type: 6 month fixed term
Start: Tuesday the 7th of April

This disability charity is looking for someone to support managers on a diverse range of HR issues, working with the senior management team, HR shared service manager, administration team and employees across the organisation

Main duties:

* Reports to: Assistant Director of Human Resources
* Lead, manage and monitor a Human Resources Administrator via the management structure ensuring that employees are recruited, inducted, trained, supervised and appraised in line with policies and procedure
* Act as the first line of support providing advice and support to managers on employee relations matters, ensuring best practice
* Responsible within an identified area for the interpretation of Human Resources related policies, procedures and day-to-day matters supporting managers by working in partnership with them ensuring best practice
* Coach managers and contribute to the improvement of people management across the organisation, increasing local autonomy and improving their access to workforce data to support decision-making
* Support managers in managing sickness absence effectively and within agreed targets, advising on policy, and making referrals to Occupational Health as required
* Undertake statistical analysis of Human Resources metrics, information and data including labour turnover, recruitment lead times and workforce planning to support managers in identifying and addressing performance issues

Essential Criteria:

* A degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources
* Member of the CIPD
* A good standard of English and Maths
* Evidence of continued professional and personal development


* An excellent understanding of current employment law and practice
* Knowledge of change management
* Understands and promotes diversity
