HR Advisor -Temporary

Our client a rehabilitation charity based in north london are seeking an expereince HR Advisor to join there small but busy team, this is a on-gonig temporary role to start ASAP.

To coordinate effective and efficient HR Advice service to the group members – staff and management.. Ensure that resources are used to provide a cost effective and efficient service.  Provide expert advice, guidance and administrative support to managers and staff. Lead on producing monthly sickness statistics and following up with advice to managers on absent employees.


Act as a point of contact for staff queries such as
•    References
•    Annual leave
•    Pay queries
•    Maternity/nominated carers leave/absence

Provide employee relations advice and guidance to managers and staff on matters such as:-

•    Disciplinary
•    Capability
•    Absence
•    Grievance
•    Restructure

Alongside HR colleagues, be a point of contact for payroll and advise staff and managers on payroll queries
•    Assist with on time delivery of accurate payroll services to SIG members and any associated operations.
•    Answer queries and resolve payroll issues with internal and external parties
•    Payroll checking
•    Produce variation to contract letters

Recruitment & Selection

•    Provide advice and guidance to recruiting managers and panel members on recruitment processes and systems and on selecting the most appropriate methods of advertising roles
•    Draft and post all job advertisement on cost effective channels
•    Responsible for the proper implementation of DBS procedures for all staff and maintenance of all DBS records/Single File, along with  the HR Assistant
•    development of job descriptions/person specifications in conjunction with recruiting manager
•    Carry out all pre-employment checks i.e. reference, medicals, DBS and eligibility to work in the UK, along with the HR Assistant
•    Produce and issue employment contracts
•    Oversee the relief bank staff lists

•    Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, contracts and codes of conduct
•    Assist in the development of good employment practices, which are both in line with legislation and corporate guidelines
•    Support the achievement of the business’s KPI’s
•    Liaise with Occupational Health for medical assessments and ongoing advice as required
•    Meet required regulatory requirements
