A well-established industry body is seeking a Head of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) to provide strategic insight for the SHE activities of its members. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting member organisations with their SHE strategies, advising on current policy and managing external stakeholder relationships. This is an exciting time for the organisation and this new role will contribute to the success of the body's collective strategy to improve upon Health and Safety related issues in the workplace within the Energy Industry.
Main duties for the Head of SHE:
*Provide analysis and insight on health, safety and environmental matters when briefing the Executive team; addressing changes to legislation, and possible impact on member organisations
*Manage the framework of committees to support member companies' with their SHE priorities
*Manage relationships with external stakeholders on SHE related issues
*Promote initiatives that support and improve upon the 5 year 2nd phase of a collective UK wide H&S Strategy
*Responsibility for co-ordinating the conference programme for the industry's annual SHE conference
Essential Criteria for the Head of SHE:
*Associate or Technical membership of IOSH
*Experience of developing strategies to advance collective SHE activities
*Demonstrable experience in developing productive relationships using excellent interpersonal skills
*Experience of working in, or with the electricity industry or other utilities in a senior H&S Management position
