One of TPP Social Care & Housing's clients, a leading charity who provide a range of services for children, families and vulnerable adults are recruiting for an ambitious and driven Head of Property to join their senior management team.
Our client employs over 2,000 staff and volunteers across London and the South East, they are a ambitious charity who are ambitious for the people who use their services and they strive to ensure that everyone can live the life they choose.
The Head of property job is a newly created role in the charity, it is responsible for 3 main elements; Facilities, Housing and Property with 3 direct line reports. This role will report into the finance Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining appropriate solutions for business needs, steering the organisation through planning application processes and managing relationships with any joint venture developers. There will also be an element of integration of new properties into existing estate management and this role will also be responsible for devising construction programmes and formulating detailed de-cant strategies.
The charity is currently undergoing some exciting changes which the Head of Property will be responsible for overseeing and driving; negotiation of contracts for renewals on key properties to the organisation and property development projects across their residential services.
Passion and enthusiasm to support children, families and vulnerable people runs through the core of this charity therefor it is required that the Head of Property is familiar with this client group.
The successful candidate will need to be knowledgeable around housing and property needs for vulnerable adults and property law in order to negotiate main contracts.
To be considered for this job you will need to have a higher level qualification associated with the field of housing services, demonstrable experience of successfully managing housing services at a senior level and of influencing budgets. You will also have proven experience of service development and a good understanding of all relevant legislation and government initiatives.
As this role will involve project development it is essential the candidate holds a full UK driving license and has access to a vehicle.
