A well-established or well-known animal rescue charity is seeking a Head of National Events and Regional Support.
The aim of the role is to lead and develop a new events department and to increase their event portfolio and income. The current target for event income is £500,000 which is expected to increase to £1.5 million in the next three years. You will manage existing events such as the London Marathon and Great North Run whilst developing and implementing new events. You will provide line management support to the team which will include appraisals, one to ones and training and development. Finally, you will manage an expenditure of £340,000 to develop the increased portfolio of events and be responsible for an annual payroll of circa of £110,000.
You will have a successful track record in planning and managing a portfolio of fundraising events. You will have good project management skills including financials. Furthermore, you will have sound organisation, communication and problem-solving skills. In addition, you will have solid leadership skills and will be driven and creative enough to implement new events. Finally, you will be passionate about Animal Welfare.
