A globally recognised professional membership body and awarding organisation based in New Malden, near Wimbledon are recruiting for a Head of learning Development within their newly created Education team.
Working directly with the Director of Education and CEO the Head of Learning Development will be future focussed and innovative in taking the lead on transforming traditional paper based qualifications into a more digital medium.
You will provide expert knowledge to internal colleagues and external clients in conjunction with the Product Development and International Sales teams. Robust research on market needs (B2C and B2B) is a must in addition to tapping into the knowledge of an expert pool of academic colleagues to ensure expansion is in line with the organisation's vision and maximises commercial impact. You will design and implement a strategic approach with the marketing and business development teams that will underpin the expansion and diversification of the organisation.
Main responsibilities will include:
*Identifying training and development needs within client organisations or specified target markets
*Designing and expanding a range of online training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual;
*Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme is important;
*Producing training materials, focusing on e-learning and e-assessment strategies for the organisation's in-house courses;
*Managing the delivery of training and development programmes including devising a training strategy for the organisation based on digital platforms;
*Evaluating training and development programmes- amending and revising programmes as necessary
*Having an understanding of e-learning techniques, and being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages and researching new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and presenting this research.
*Evaluating the further and higher education market for innovative new products and services incorporating latest thinking and practice in the use of e-learning and online assessments
*Working with the Director of Education and the CEO to set product development objectives and targets for the assessment and qualification market designed to achieve the business objectives and deadlines
Essential criteria for the role includes:
*You will be a successful Product/Training Manager or L&D Consultant with a proven background in re-launching, rationalising and developing new products within the Awarding Body or Higher/ Further Education College sector.
*You will need to be an innovator with the ability to use creativity and initiative to bring fresh ideas and a new mode of thinking to the role.
*You will have experience of transforming paper based qualifications into a digital form
*You will be future focussed with interest and experience in areas such as e-learning, e-assessment, mobile technology and social media
*Be commercially aware; ensure that products can be developed and marketed profitably.
