A prestigious academic ‘Think Tank’ based in central London is seeking a talented Head of IT for a new role. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with other Senior Managers and Directors, the role manages an extensive project portfolio and a complex global IT operation.
The role will involve:
-The delivery and management of the organisations Core IT Service
-The delivery and management of multiple IT projects involving: Sitecore web architecture, MS Dynamics CRM, Customised App development in ASP.NET, VMWare and virtual server management, Citrix remote access, Mobile App interaction, microphone and video/streaming.
-Management of a team of 6 IT staff
-The digitisation of a wealth of current publications data for use online.
-Improvements to the current website to support new users, mobile and app-based content.
-Development of commercial opportunities on systems holding customer records (e.g. website, CRM, mass marketing tools).
-Infrastructure refresh across a global technology estate.
-An outstanding academic background, in addition to additional professional qualifications (Prince 2, ITIL etc)
-Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, written and verbal
-A team player, capable of leading, motivating and directing a busy department.
-Experience running concurrent technology projects, whilst maintaining Core IT Services
-Able to define, develop and implement a coherent IT strategy within a complex, evolving and demanding organisation
-Successfully able to deliver technology projects that add value
-Oversight of database, BI and analytics technologies
-Expert delivery of integration programmes that include web, cloud and CRM systems
-Experience of delivering major events on a national or, preferably international, scale
