This is a very exciting opportunity for any senior fundraiser looking to join a wonderful but small charity and help it to flourish and grow. Established in 1903, this disability charity offers education, care and medical support to people of all ages who have epilepsy. At their specialist site just north of London, they run a school for 5-19 year-olds, a college for 18-25 year-olds and a residential nursing home.
If you're interested in making your mark on the history of a lovely organisation then this is certainly the role for you. The post-holder of this position will be responsible for maximising the long-term income generation of the charity. Initially, the role will focus on securing income from trusts and foundations (currently the charity's primary income stream), developing and promoting a robust case for support of the charity in the local community and working alongside the Retail Development Manager to maximise profits from the organisation's network of shops. However, as it develops, the position will encompass the recruitment, management and development of the wider fundraising team as well as the successful design and delivery of an annual programme of fundraising events. As such, this role is brilliant for any senior fundraiser who is looking to take the next step in their career and move into a role that involves the line management and professional development of a brand new team.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Demonstrable experience of securing grants and large gifts from trusts and foundations
*Experience in line managing a team of fundraisers, supporting members to identify suitable sources of income and meeting targets
*Experience of working collaboratively across an organisation in order to meet agreed targets with stakeholders of various levels of seniority
*Experience of managing, developing and making effective use of internal systems to drive income generation, including the use of a donor database
The salary for this position is £38,000-£41,000. For a frank, honest and confidential chat about the position, please call Luke Ounsworth at TPP on 020 7198 6040.
Closing date: ASAP
