An awarding and professional body which works to transform their industry by setting, upholding and promoting professional standards and making qualifications, accreditations and membership the Gold Standard for professionals working in the industry are recruiting for a Head of External Quality and Assessment Services to ensure the organisation remains compliant with all external regulatory bodies; including Ofqual, Qualifications Wales, SQA and CCEA Regulation and managing the operational delivery of assessment related services and external quality assurance.
As someone coming from a professional or awarding body background with a track record of meeting regulatory requirements and delivering services or products to meet specific needs you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with external regulatory bodies as well as establishing and maintaining high quality assessment services across Apprenticeship standards and accreditation products and other vocational education products.
This role will be responsible for 6direct reports and 14indirect reports, report into the COO as part of the SMT and contribute to the boarder strategic direction of the organisation through representing the organisation through building and maintaining multiple external stakeholder relationships. You much therefore have the ability to build, lead and manage high performing teams and be able to communicate clearly to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders through powerful persuading and influencing skills to motivate and inspire stakeholder groups.
At a crucial time in the organisation's plans you will be confident in implementing and managing change and have a track record in delivering against targets and managing risk through solution orientated, positive, customer focused approaches.
Based near Hertford you will be expected to be in the head office 2 to 3 days a week and accept that travel both UK and internationally is a key part of this role. A car and driving license would be desirable but they do offer free parking as well as other great benefits including non-contributory pension scheme (7.5% from employer on commencement of employment); 25 days holiday (save 3 days for Christmas close down) plus bank holidays; and private healthcare for employee and spouse/partner on successful completion of probationary period.
