Job Description - EXPIRED

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Awarding organisation as Head of Development. This is a new role, reporting to the Chief Executive, and will take the lead on all of the charity's income generating activities. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time, and you will play a key role in helping to move the organisation on to the next stage of its development. Easily accessible by public transport, the organisation's fantastic offices are based in a picturesque village in North Essex.

In this role, your key responsibilities will be to:

- Generate income for the charity through business development, fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, and through new and improved products and services
- Assist the Chief Executive with the development of relationships with the charity's stakeholders, and to review and build the charity's membership
- Oversee the marketing and communications strategy

In order to be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in generating sustainable income through a diverse range of income streams. You will be a high-calibre communicator, possess a high degree of commercial awareness and be an excellent networker. You will be joining a small, professional team with a supportive and collaborative culture, and in order to succeed in this role you will need to innovate, instigate and manage change, think strategically, plan, prioritise and work to strict deadlines.
