We are looking for a Head of Communications to cover a Maternity Cover for an International Development Charity. This is a role where you can really get your teeth into on both an operational and strategic level. We are looking for someone who can help create a technological revolution therefore you must be experienced communication leader, great at working with and building teams. Be creative and innovative both off and online. In addition to this you must have great networking skills as well as be an experience project manager. Part of this role is to implement and deliver first class communications plans for the Charity as well providing high standards of line management for the communications team.
This International Development Charity enables communities to build upon their skills and knowledge so that they are able to produce themselves sustainable and practical solutions, transforming their lives forever.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the following abilities;
*Proven senior level communication experience.
*Significant experience managing a significant team.
*Strategic thinker within proven ability to innovate, and a strong awareness of the external communications environment.
*Experience in leading media work and /or online marketing and website development.
*Great networking skills, with a proven ability to build new external relationships and partnerships
* Proven competence in written and oral communication (public, professional and inter-personal).
*Clear evidence of an ability to develop and implement strategies and plans
