We're very pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading youth charities to recruit for a Head of Business Development - Public Sector. You'll be accountable for leading the charity's income generation from public sector sources, i.e. national supply chains which deliver the likes of welfare to work, criminal justice and other publicly funded contracts.

As well as being responsible for an individual income target of £800,000, you'll also be required to further develop the Public Sector Fundraising Team's pipeline of new business. Commercially astute with outstanding leadership credentials and the ability to inspire staff and deliver income at a high level, you'll be a key player in helping the team to generate in excess of £4.2m in 2015/16.

Key responsibilities include:
*Managing a high performance income generation team focussing on maximising the charity's income from public sector sources
*Providing exceptional account management for the charity's key national contractors in order to maximise the income generated from them for the charity's youth projects
*Managing the timely submission of tenders, Expressions of Interest and other proposals to prospective and existing funders
*Working collaboratively across Public, Private and Regional Fundraising Teams in order to generate leads, expand income streams and maximise the potential of all fundraising opportunities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*A meticulous attention to detail, able to align the interests of prospective funders with key charitable projects
*Leadership acumen, able to inspire and motivate colleagues by providing strategic leadership and being willing to assume "front-line" fundraising responsibilities
*Demonstrable experience of generating income in a fundraising, charity or sales and marketing environment
*A track record of negotiating complex projects and partnerships that generate both long-term income and wider strategic benefits for an organisation
