A well-established health reacted research based charity are seeking an experienced Research and Grants Manager to join their team.
The main purpose of the role is to manage all ongoing grant management alongside new grant applications. The successful candidate will also work closely with the scientific team to ensure that all grants that are being applied for are meeting set criteria.
Main duties for the Research Grants Manager:
To oversee the grant programme
To ensure that all grant application process are managed effectively
To support the implementation of a new grant database
To ensure at all internal and external publicity around research programmes are accurate
Monitor outputs of reserve funded by the charity
Respond to queries about the charities funded research programme
Manage the budget for the research programme
Essential criteria for the Research and Grants Manager
Educated to degree level or equivalent ideally within a scientific discipline
Proven experience of grant management within a research organisation
Experience of working with senior external stakeholders
Experience of managing research budgets
Excellent communication skills with the ability deal with scientific/ medical professionals
