An established regulatory body based in Central London are currently seeking a Governance, Policy and Projects Officer to provide support on a governance project working cross departmentally within the organisation. Because of this cross departmental working, the post holder will have unique insight into policy development and project management.

Please note, this is a secondment opportunity and is therefore a fixed term position until September 2016.

Key responsibilities and duties for the Governance Policy and Projects Officer:

  • Support developmental processes around business and quality assurance mechanisms 
  • Review existing supporting corporate governance and internal control documents
  • Provide advice on approaches to good governance 
  • Provide high level reports to the SMT
  • Lead on policy development and design of new governance arrangements 

Experience and skills required for the Governance Policy and Projects Officer: 

  • Experienced project coordinator, with a background in contributing to large projects and programmes
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance 
  • Knowledge of change and risk management principles
  • Strategic thinker, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Implementation and operational policy experience
