The Springfield Project is a Birmingham-based charity with a passion for our local community. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space in which people from diverse backgrounds can meet and receive support.
The Project developed from St Christopher's Church's commitment to supporting families in the local area and sharing God's love in our community.
We work in partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver children's centre services providing activities and support for families with children under 5.
We run the Neighbour Scheme, a social prescription project between local GPs and the Springfield Project, working to reduce isolation and improve the mental wellbeing of local adults.
About the Opportunity
This is part of an active team who maintain allotments at Knowle Road.
We would like people who are willing to dig and aren't afraid of getting muddy!
What are they looking for?
You will be joining a team who maintain the allotments used by our Neighbourhood Scheme.
No gardening knowledge is required, just a willingness to get involved.
This is suitable for anyone over 18 who is reasonably fit. Gardening is done outdoors and runs in all weathers. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. There is shelter and there are plenty of tools.
The team meet on a Tuesday and the number of hours you choose to help can be flexible that day.
How To Apply
Please email Rosalyn Clare at firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
We value diversity at TPP and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
